On April 11th, 2022 Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin Signs 700 Bills into Law and one of those bills was Elijah’s law! We are truly grateful to Governor Glenn Youngkin for his dedication in keep children with severe food allergies safe in their childcare centers.
Elijah’s Law has already been enacted in NYC, Illinois, making Virginia the 3rd state saving children's lives by providing strict policies to repurpose food allergy training and guidelines to be established.
We are forever grateful to Senator Jennifer Boysko and Delegate Karrie Delaney for their tireless effort to make this bill happen. We are grateful to all the family, friends, and advocates spearheading grassroots efforts on letting their legislators know the importance of this bill and the severity of food allergies.
Because of the circumstances of his death, my boy's short-lived life has ignited a fire in our family to ensure that every state in this country protects children with severe food allergies.
